Your playlist is a map. Today, we listen for what it’s been trying to show you.

This first ritual takes about 3–5 minutes. There is no “right answer” here — only honest noticing.

Today isn’t about changing your habits or forcing a new version of you to appear. It’s simply about noticing what’s already true.

The songs you reach for without thinking are tiny signals from your nervous system — about what you’re holding, what you’re soothing, and what you might be avoiding.

Let this be guided data, not a verdict. Curiosity only. No self-critique required.

Your music is already telling your story.

Think of your playlist as a mirror instead of background noise. When you look at it with guided attention, you might notice:

  • What you’re trying to hold together
  • What you keep replaying from the past
  • Where you secretly want relief or change
  • Who you’re slowly becoming, track by track

Nothing you see here is a problem. It’s information. And information is power.

Day 1 Ritual

🎧 The Music Mirror Check-In

When you’re ready, follow these steps:

  • 1 Open your music app and look at the top 3 songs you’ve played most in the last week.
  • 2 For each song, ask yourself:
    “What feeling does this song hold for me?”
    “What part of me chooses this?”
  • 3 Write down one sentence per song. Keep it simple and honest. First truth, best truth.

Example: “Song 1 feels like holding my breath.”
“Song 2 feels like remembering who I used to be.”
“Song 3 feels like wanting a break but not knowing how to take one.”
